Check out 5 of the best heavy platform trolleys to transport your goods and equipment

Best Heavy-Duty Platform Trolleys

Heavy-duty platform trolleys are very useful for transporting equipment for A to B.

I personally use them for when I'm doing events to get my stuff out the van and to the location but they can be used for a wide range of things (think gardening, courier services, around the office etc.).

But choosing the right one, as I have learned can be tricky and you want one that serves your needs the best.

I have therefore compiled a list of 5 of the best heavy-duty platform trolleys to help you decide.

These products were chosen on the basis of loading weight, loading capacity, how easy they are to store, my own experience of using them and overall online reviews.

Buyers guide

When choosing the right flatbed trolley for your needs it's worth taking a few things into consideration before making that purchase.

Load weight

What sort of equipment will you be transporting? will it be heavy goods or lightweight boxes?

If its heavy goods or equipment than you will need a heavy-duty platform trolley with a loading weight of 150kgs and over.

Load dimensions

Aside from the loading weight you also need to pick a flatform truck that has large enough loading area for boxes.

This helps you to load more stuff at a time and therefore minimising the number of trips you need to take between point A and Point B.

Storage

Flatbed trolleys can come in all sorts of sizes and there are some really big ones out there.

So if space is limited inside the van or garage/lockup then you need a product that is easy to store.

All of the heavy-duty platform trolleys on the list come with folding handles for easy flatpack storage when not in use.

G-Rack Heavy Duty Folding Industrial Platform Trolley

flatbed trolley

Brand: G-Rack

Load capacity: 150 kgs

Load dimensions: 13.5 x 48 x 77 cm

Product features:

  • 5 Year Warranty

  • Anti Puncture Tyres

  • High-quality steel frame

  • Folding for easy storage

This platform trolley is at the lower end in terms of load weight and capacity.

It has a very generous 5-year warranty which is always a good sign of the quality of the product.

It also has anti-puncture tyres for transporting equipment on rough terrain and has a folding handle for easy storage when not in use.

However, if you intend to move a lot of equipment you may want to consider larger platform trolleys which are on the list.

VonHaus Platform Truck - Multi-Functional Folding Platform Trolley

folding platform trolley

Brand: VonHaus

Load capacity: 150 kgs

Load dimensions: 73.5 X 47 X 83 cm

Product features:

  • 2 Year Manufacturer Warranty

  • Non-slip rubber matting

  • Solid steel frame

  • Non-puncture tyres

  • Folding for easy storage

The Vonhaus flatbed trolley is a well made and heavy-duty piece of equipment for transporting goods.

It has a non-slip runner mat which is especially good for moving plastic boxes and like the G-Rack trolley has non-puncture tyres and is foldable for easy storage.

However, unlike the previous heavy trolley duty platform trolley, it comes with a shorter warranty of 2 years.

KingSaid Heavy Duty Folding Platform Trolley Truck

folding platform trolley

Brand: KingSaid

Load capacity: 300 kgs

Load dimensions: 60cm x 90cm

Product features:

  • Folding for easy storage

  • Anti-slip rubber platform

  • High-quality steel construction

The kingSaid offers twice the loading weight at 300kgs than the previous two flatform trolleys, with slightly more loading space.

This makes it good for loading more equipment and therefore fewer trips between getting your stuff to where you want it.

And like the others, it also has an anti-slip rubber platform to keep boxes secure and is foldable.

Meister Foldable Platform truck

Brand: Meister

Load capacity: 300 kgs

Loading dimensions: 91 x 61 cm

Product features:

  • Anti-slip surface

  • Eyelets to attach bungee cords

  • Castor wheels with brakes

  • Rubber coated handle

  • Folding for easy storage

I really like the Mesietr Platform trolleys because not only does it offer 300kgs of loading weight and a large loading area of 91 x 61cm but it also has some additional features the other products do not.

It has six eyelets to attach rope or a bungee cord, which is very useful for securing heavier or higher loads.

And for extra security It also castor wheels with brakes which comes in handy if the trolley is resting on a slope or uneven surface.

N&S Platform Truck Heavy Duty Trolley

heavy duty folding platform trolley

Brand: N&S

Load capacity: 350 kgs

Loading dimensions: 96 x 60 cm

Product features:

  • High-density anti-slip handle

  • Rubber mute wheels for quiet transportation

  • Folding for easy storage

  • Anti-slip loading area

I've saved the best, in terms of loading weight and surface space until last.

The N&S heavy-duty trolley offers a massive 350kg of loading weight, which is the largest I have seen for this type of product and has a longer loading area for extra space.

It also has quite a unique feature (not sure how useful this actually is) of rubber mute wheels. This helps to minimize the noise on uneven surfaces whilst transporting goods.

It also has a rubber anti-slip handle for a more comfortable trip, which is especially beneficial if you are doing multiple trips back and forth over long periods of time.

Key takeaway

If you looking to buy a heavy-duty platform trolley to transport equipment I recommend going for the larger products that offer 300kg of loading space upwards.

This is because it better to have the extra capacity as your equipment list grows than finding out later you need something bigger and have to buy larger flatbed trolley.

Larger trolleys also help you save time on reducing the number of trips you take, getting your stuff to where you need it.

And that the whole point right, making things that little bit easier.
