The best market gazebos for markets to help protect you from the elements and keep business rolling

6 Best Gazebos For Market Stalls

Market stalls are a large part of our heritage and a good way for people to make some easy money from goods such as vintage clothing, arts and crafts, and selling your old stuff. Actually this list can go on Infinium.

One of the most important pieces of equipment you will need for a market stall is a gazebo. This is what is going to keep you and your products safe from the elements.

However, for trading at markets, not any gazebos are created equally. You will need one that is robust enough to withstand those windy and rainy days and made from commercial grade material.

So what are the best gazebos for markets?

Well in this article I have put together the 6 best gazebo's for market stalls based on build quality, size, weather protection, and overall Amazon reviews. I have owned numbers 3 and 6 from the list over the last few years and can say they differently stand up to the job.

Buyers guide:

Before you purchase your gazebo there are a few things you need to consider in terms of its intended use, its size and some safety issue that you may need to be taken into account.

Domestic or commercial?

When buying a gazebo you will need to think about what you will be using it for. Will it be for in the garden at a festival for the summer. Or will it be for commercial use as a market trader?

For festival or home use, you can often get away with a cheaper version. But for commercial use for things such as markets, you will need a gazebo that is a bit more sturdy.

The six gazebos I will recommend in this product review are all for commercial and suitable for market stalls.

Size guide:

Gazebos come in a range of sizes from 2x2m all the way up to 4x8m. The most commonly used sizes for Market gazebos range from 2x5m all the way up to 3x6m gazebos.

The 3x3m gazebos are the most commonly used for commercial purposes.

Event organizers also charge per space so the 3m gazebos often provide a good balance between space for your good and costs of a pitch fee.

For this reason, I have included a size range from 2.5x2.5m up to 3x4.5m in the following list.

Safety

Before purchasing a gazebo there are a number of safety issues you need to consider when trading commercially as a market stall.

For example, are there clear exits available in an event of a fire? is the gazebo fire retardant? This is especially important if you will be cooking and serving food and some event organizers will require a certificate confirming the gazebo is fire retardant.

However, please note, the gazebo does not have to be fire retardant if you intend to use for the sale of arts and crafts and not to cook and serve hot food (street food).

You will also need to consider the outdoor conditions you will be trading in, especially in high winds. You will, therefore, need additional weights to secure the legs of the gazebo so that it is stable in windy conditions.

20kg weights are available, which need to be brought separately (see additional products).

Rust-resistant and waterproof

When buying a gazebo for a market you will be popping it up and down every weekend (or for however many days you are trading) and trading sometimes in the rain.

It is important therefore that it is rust-resistant so it doesn't seize up when you try to pop it up and down. And that it is waterproof to protect your stock and equipment on rainy days.

Additional products

There are a few things that need to be brought separately that don't come with gazebos. For example, weights to secure the legs of gazebos in stormy weather or in some cases sideways.

Here is a list of a few additional products you may need:

- Gazebo leg weights and anchor kits

- Gazebo lights if trading at night/Christmas markets

- Sidewalls

- Heaters for winter

- Printed banners

This gazebo is the smallest size at 2.5m x 2.5m and is very well made and durable meaning it should last a good 2 years.

Its is also easy to assemble, pack away and store and is very stable in windy conditions.

It comes in a variety of colours, but for a market stall, you are better off going for a darker colour to help keep it cleaner looking.

This is a good gazebo for a market stall at a range of events from arts and crafts fairs to school fetes.

Like the previous gazebo, this one is made from strong materials, is easy to set up and pack away and with the correct set of weights can stand up to strong winds.

The only downside with this product is that it comes in a limited range of colours and you can not get the roof or side panels in black.

4. AmazonBasics 3 x 3 m Pop-Up Canopy with sidewalls

This gazebo is produced by Amazon and what I like about it the most is it has an extended canopy at the front of the gazebo.

This is good for adding extra shade from the sun and keeping your customers dry if it's raining.

However, this gazebo only comes in one colour, which is a bit of a drawback if you are looking for a colour other than blue.

5. MAXIMUS® HEAVY DUTY GAZEBO 3m x 3m GAZEBO MARKET STALL POP UP TENT

6 Best Gazebos For Market Stalls

Size:

3x3m (10ft x 10ft)

Amazon reviews (at the time of writing):

Sturdy and good value for money this gazebo is a good choice for a market stall or any outdoor event.

Its got an extra waterproof layer which is good for very wet days and UV protection which helps to protect you from those harmful rays.

However, at 34kg this gazebo is slightly heavier than the others on the list, so you may want to take this into consideration when moving between markets or events.

6. All Seasons Gazebos 3x4.5m Waterproof Pop up Gazebo

6 Best Gazebos For Market Stalls

Size:

3mx4.5m (10ft x 14.7ft)

Weight:

26kg

Features:

100% waterproof

Heavy-duty steel frame

Rust resistant

Inside the package:

8 tent pegs

4 pieces of guide rope

4x sand-filled leg weights (bonus)

Heavy-duty carry bag

Amazon reviews (at the time of writing):

4.3/5 (114 ratings)

I've saved the largest gazebo until last and at 3m x 4.5m, it offers plenty of space.

And even though its the largest it's, in fact, one of the lightest of all of the gazebos on the list.

It is made from heavy-duty materials and is 100% waterproof.

However, even though it offers more space, due to its size, you may get charged more for the pitch fee as it's over the standard 3x3m.
